The brother of former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has been charged with breaching Covid-19 regulations for his part  in a demonstration against 5G technology. 

Piers Corbyn, 73, has been charged with taking part in demonstrations on May 16 and May 24 in Hyde Park in central London

Scotland Yard today announced that a total of 24 people have been charged in connection with several demonstrations in London held during the lockdown. 

Mr Corbyn, who was photographed being led away by police on May 16, has been charged with offences relating to the Health Protection (Coronavirus restrictions) Regulations 2020. 

The older brother of the former Labour leader, with an address in Southwark, was ordered to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on July 24 and August 20.
